Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is seeking a Senior Engineer within the Future Energy Systems team to lead investigations into emerging power system security challenges and craft practical solutions supporting higher renewable energy integration.

You will provide technical leadership across strategic projects, collaborate with industry experts, regulators and market participants, and mentor engineers as we shape Australia's energy future.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems or related discipline.
• Experience with the National Electricity Market (NEM) preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis, modelling, planning, operations, or similar role in electricity industry.
• Strong ability with power system simulation tools such as PSSE and PSCAD.
• Solid understanding of transmission, generation and distribution systems; ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
