Job summary

Octopus1 is seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader to own and manage the electrical scope across renewable energy projects in Australia, from pre-acquisition to operations. You will lead technical governance for HV/MV systems, intervenir in tendering, and supervise contractor performance through construction and commissioning.

Ideal candidates have 7–10 years in Australian utility-scale renewables, with strong MV/HV knowledge and experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated electrical engineering experience on utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Experience with EPC/engineering consultants or developers.
• Experience as owner's representative for electrical package delivery.
• Site construction exposure and contractor management.
• Strong MV/HV knowledge and power systems understanding.
• Familiarity with Australian approvals and grid-connected delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own, define, structure and manage electrical scope across portfolio of projects from pre-acquisition through operations.
• Lead technical governance and templates for HV/MV systems and protection, control, and power quality studies.
• Coordinate interfaces with civil, grid, SCADA, environmental, planning, and asset management teams.
• Contribute to tendering, contract negotiation and post-award engineering management.
• Manage OEM/contractor performance from design through construction.
• Review design submissions, RFIs, variations and non-conformances to resolve issues.
