Ready for the Next Step in Your Dental Career?
Salisbury Dentist is looking for an experienced Senior Dental Receptionist who is ready for greater responsibility and a genuine pathway into Practice Management.
We are an established, well-running practice with an experienced team and strong systems already in place. We're now entering our next phase of growth and are looking for the right person to help us get there.
We need someone who can look after both the big picture and the small details: helping us grow and improve the practice while making sure the day-to-day running of the clinic stays organised, efficient and professional.
Our values are Relationships, integrity, Initiative, Teamwork, Respect and Excellence. These values guide how we work, communicate and care for our patients and each other, and we're looking for someone who genuinely shares the same values.
Ideally, you'll have 4+ years of dental experience, with strong dental reception experience. Previous Dental Assisting experience will be highly regarded.
However, dental experience is not essential if you can demonstrate strong previous experience in a high-level client relationship role, with excellent communication, follow-up, organisation and financial awareness.
More importantly, you're someone who is:
Driven, motivated and proactive
A genuine go-getterwho sees what needs doing and takes action
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
A confident and professional communicator
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Able to prioritise competing demands in a busy practice
Calm and solutions-focused when problems arise
A team player who enjoys helping others succeed
Comfortable with accountability, KPIs and performance discussions
Interested in understanding the financial performance of a dental practice, not just answering phones and booking appointments
Keen to contribute ideas and help improve systems as the practice grows
Initially, you'll take ownership of our front desk and help ensure the practice runs smoothly each day.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the appointment book and keeping the diary productive
Patient communication and treatment follow-up
Recalls, reactivation and filling appointment gaps
Discussing treatment plans, fees and payment options
Processing payments accurately
Working closely with dentists and DAs to coordinate the day
Helping track key practice numbers and identify opportunities for improvement
Maintaining and improving systems
Supporting team performance and communication
Helping us plan and execute the next stage of practice growth
This is not a role where you'll simply be waiting for instructions. We want someone who notices what needs attention, takes ownership and follows things through.
For the right person, the goal is progression into aPractice Manager role.
We're looking for someone who can gradually take greater responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the practice, team coordination, systems, performance and growth.
We don't expect you to have every management skill on day one. We do expect you to be curious, commercially minded and motivated to learn.
You’ll be joining awell-established practice with experienced clinicians and team members , rather than walking into a practice that needs to be rebuilt from scratch.
The foundations are already there. What we're looking for now is someone who wants to help usmake a good practice even better.
You’ll have:
$37–$42 per hour, depending on experience and capability
steady full time hours
Genuine pathway to Practice Manager
Established systems and processes
Autonomy and ownership of your role
A small, experienced team where your contribution will genuinely matter
The opportunity to help shape the future direction and growth of the practice
If you're an experienced dental professional who feels you've outgrown a standard reception position and are ready formore responsibility, greater autonomy and a pathway into management, we'd love to hear from you.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just want another job. We’re looking for the right person to help us take Salisbury Dentist into its next phase.
