$80,000–$95,000 + Super | South-West Sydney | Full-time
You've managed the diary. You've solved the daily problems. Now you're ready for a role where your ideas, leadership and experience will genuinely matter.
Attention To Dental is recruiting confidentially for a growing, privately owned dental practice in South-West Sydney—and this is far more than a traditional Practice Manager position.
The owner is looking for someone who can become a trusted extension of the practice leadership: someone who understands people, sees opportunities for improvement and can confidently take ownership of the day-to-day operation.
Over the past year, the practice has expanded its clinical and support teams, with further growth planned. The foundations are already in place. What the practice needs now is the right leader to bring everything together, strengthen the systems and help shape what comes next.
If you have ever wanted the opportunity to influence how a dental practice operates and grows, this could be the role you have been waiting for.
Salary of $80,000–$95,000 plus super
Potential quarterly performance incentive
Genuine autonomy and influence
Direct working relationship with the practice owner
Opportunity to improve systems rather than simply maintain them
Career progression as the practice continues to grow
Professional development and team training supported
Modern practice investing in technology, AI and automation
Close-knit team that supports one another and celebrates shared achievements
The opportunity to make a visible impact from the beginning
You will take ownership across people, patients, operations and performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading the day-to-day operations of the practice
Supporting, motivating and developing the team
Establishing expectations and maintaining accountability
Managing rosters, workflows and performance conversations
Overseeing appointment scheduling, recalls and patient flow
Supporting patient finance discussions, accounts and insurance processing
Monitoring practice KPIs, financial reporting and operational performance
Coordinating laboratories, stock control and banking
Overseeing infection-control systems and standards
Managing patient and team concerns calmly and professionally
Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes
Ensuring improvement projects are followed through to completion
Working closely with the owner and Treatment Coordinator to support continued growth
You don't need to be the loudest person in the room to be a strong leader.
You may be warm, calm and approachable—but you are also confident enough to make decisions, establish boundaries and have difficult conversations when required.
You genuinely care about your team, but you also understand that kindness and accountability must work together.
You will ideally bring:
At least two years of relevant experience
Dental Practice Management or senior dental leadership experience
Previous experience within an Australian dental practice
Strong people‑leadership and communication skills
Confidence working with budgets, KPIs and practice performance
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
A calm and solutions‑focused approach under pressure
Warm, professional and culturally aware communication
Core Practice experience, although this is advantageous rather than essential
A genuine interest in growing with the practice long term
This is an established, privately owned, three‑chair dental practice with a growing clinical and support team.
The team currently includes four dentists, Oral Health Therapist/Hygienist support, Dental Assistants, reception and Treatment Coordination.
The practice manages a busy schedule that includes larger and more complex cases, so communication, organisation and strong leadership are important.
While the environment is busy, the team genuinely looks after one another. The owner is not looking for someone who leads from above—they want a Practice Manager who will work alongside the team, understand the pressures of the day and bring out the best in the people around them.
The practice invests in its team through professional development, training, team activities, shared goals and celebrating achievements together.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Tuesday and Thursday: 11:00 am–7:00 pm
Some flexibility is required. Team members are expected to be available shortly before opening and may occasionally need to remain after the stated finishing time.
The salary range is $80,000–$95,000 plus super, depending on experience and overall suitability.
There is also an opportunity to develop a quarterly performance incentive with the successful Practice Manager, potentially linked to practice maintenance, growth and revenue performance.
The owner is not simply looking for someone to maintain the practice as it is today.
They want someone who can help make it better.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to work closely with the owner, learn more about growing a successful dental business, assume greater responsibility and potentially progress into broader management as the practice expands.
You may already be an experienced Practice Manager looking for greater autonomy—or you may be a strong senior dental leader who knows you are ready for more.
Either way, if you want your next role to offer more than simply keeping the day running, we would love to hear from you.
