Energy Australia is seeking a Credit Risk Lead to steer credit risk assessment and fraud detection practices across Residential, Business and C&I portfolios. The role combines governance with continuous improvement, serving as an escalation point for complex decisions to reduce bad debt and losses.

Based in Docklands with a hybrid pattern (2-3 days in office weekly). You will work with Credit & Collections, vendors and bureaus to identify mitigations, improve processes, and drive strategic

Competenze

• Significant leadership experience in a medium to large corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies.
• Experience with fraud detection practices and risk controls.
• Commercial acumen with a proven ROI track record.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Mansioni

• Ensure credit risk and fraud detection policy and operational processes are applied across Residential, Business and C&I bases.
• Act as escalation point for complex credit decisions, sharing knowledge with Credit and Collections.
• Partner with internal/external stakeholders, vendors and bureaus to manage priorities and resolve risk issues.
• Identify and contribute to process, policy and system improvements in risk assessment and fraud detection.
• Contribute to programs addressing risk issues, regulatory requirements, and capability uplift.
• Use data, analytics and technology to support continuous improvement in credit decisioning and fraud risk management outcomes.
