Job summary

South Burnett Regional Council in Nanango is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to provide high-level technical supervision of civil works programs for transport assets. You will lead the development and implementation of works programs, with day-to-day duties including monitoring workloads, supervision, and financial management.

The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, a current C Class Driver’s licence, and a White Card, with RPEQ eligibility highly

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in management and delivery of civil works projects.
• Extensive knowledge in development of civil works programs and milestones.
• Experience in project management and contract administration for transport assets.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills focused on customer service and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical supervision of civil works programs for construction and maintenance of transport assets.
• Provide leadership including technical advice and project direction for works programs.
• Monitor and manage the workload of the teams and supervise minor works projects.
• Oversee financial management and address safety, quality and environmental aspects of projects.
