Job summary

Western Downs Regional Council is seeking a Works Manager (Maintenance) to support the Senior Works Manager in delivering transport infrastructure programs across multiple towns. You will lead technical, operational and administrative teams and drive accountability to meet council and departmental objectives.

The role requires a Civil Engineering background, RPEQ qualifications, and the ability to manage resources and budgets in a dynamic environment while maintaining strong stakeholder

• Leading and managing a range of technical, operational and administration staff
• Managing resources and budget with a high degree of control and autonomy
• Proven ability to deliver complex works programs within timeframes and budgets

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing a range of technical, operational and administration staff with commitment to Council's key values and performance culture
• Developing, managing and delivering the Department's civil construction and maintenance programs within agreed timeframes and budgets
• Creating and maintaining successful relationships between Council Departments and external stakeholders
• Managing resources and budget with a high degree of control and autonomy whilst operating within a constantly changing environment
