Job summary

Precruitment is seeking an experienced Principal Coordinator Infrastructure Delivery to lead the Council’s road construction, maintenance and grading programs in regional Queensland. The role delivers strategic and operational leadership, ensuring works align with budgets, safety, quality and asset-management requirements.

You will drive multidisciplinary teams, oversee procurement, contract management and reporting, and provide authoritative technical guidance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in civil construction and maintenance operations.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary operational teams.
• Significant construction and grading project management experience.
• Strong capability in planning, estimating, scheduling, contract management and QA.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence outcomes and drive accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual road maintenance, construction and grading programs.
• Plan and prioritise resources, schedules and operational activities.
• Provide leadership across multidisciplinary construction and maintenance teams.
• Manage complex civil works programs across safety, quality, cost and delivery.
• Oversee project planning, estimating, scheduling, procurement and contract management.
• Monitor project performance against budgets, programs and quality requirements.
• Provide technical advice on construction standards and maintenance programs.
• Oversee QA, WHS, environmental and traffic management requirements.
• Manage contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement across operations.
• Develop workforce capability through coaching and succession planning.
• Prepare high-level reports for management on performance and risks.
