Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Bundaberg QLD is seeking a Principal Engineer to manage operational aspects of road infrastructure project delivery and provide leadership and technical expertise to project managers on design, construction and maintenance projects.

The role requires a four-year WA Accord accredited Civil Engineering degree, RPEQ registration, a current Class C license, and the ability to oversee large maintenance and asset management programs while ensuring

Qualifications

Four-year WA Accord accredited Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory.
Current Class C driver’s licence.
Criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

Lead a multi-disciplinary team to plan, develop and deliver large maintenance and asset management oriented infrastructure projects and programs.
Manage road network impacts through processes, systems and resourcing for safe and efficient operation.
Oversee contract and construction management ensuring adherence to best practices.
Interpret road planning, design principles and standards to meet client requirements.
Coordinate governance and risk management to maintain high standards of practice.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
