Job summary

BTA Sales in Sydney is seeking an experienced Biomedical Service Engineer to join our growing team. This role blends on-site field service across major hospital sites with hands-on workshop support from our Sydney base, ensuring infusion devices operate safely and reliably.

You will work with senior biomed or electronics engineers, enjoy autonomy, problem-solving, and collaborate with clinical stakeholders. Interstate travel to support customers across Australia will be required.

Qualifications

• 4–6+ years of experience in biomedical engineering, hospital biomed technician work, or electronics engineering.
• Proven experience servicing medical devices in hospital or clinical environments.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and fault finding capability.
• Ability to work independently across field and workshop settings.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence engaging with clinical stakeholders.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Service, support, and troubleshoot advanced infusion devices
• Manage on-site device performance across key Sydney hospital partners
• Conduct preventative maintenance, calibration, and performance verification
• Provide workshop based repairs, testing, and technical support
• Respond to urgent service requests and fault reports
• Maintain accurate service documentation and compliance records
• Work closely with clinical staff, biomedical teams, and hospital engineering departments
• Collaborate with national and global technical support teams
• Travel interstate when required
