Job summary

Cresta is seeking an AI Agent Engineer to lead the development, deployment, and optimization of AI agents that solve real-world customer problems. You will work with customers and our software and ML engineers to deliver high-impact deployments and continuously improve the core AI platform.

You will integrate agents with APIs and data sources, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost-effective implementations while guiding best practices around architecture, security, and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of full-time experience in software development/AI/ML engineering/Forward Deployed Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Golang with ability to write clean, efficient code.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI agent frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, configure, deploy, and optimize AI agents using Cresta’s platform.
• Build AI agent integrations with external systems (APIs, databases, CRMs, etc.).
• Optimize AI agent performance and troubleshoot issues in complex environments.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to gather technical requirements and translate business needs into AI solutions.
• Conduct interactive demos and collect feedback to iteratively refine solutions.
• Define project milestones, create implementation plans, and coordinate execution with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with PMs to define agent goals and shape product capabilities that maximize ROI.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customers, guiding best practices for AI agent adoption, security, and scalability.
