Job summary

Kennedy Reid Pty is seeking an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to manage a well-established commercial insurance portfolio across diverse industries from a Sydney base. The role emphasizes servicing, retaining and growing client relationships with strong internal support and ongoing development from experienced professionals.

You will handle renewals, endorsements and policy servicing, while collaborating with colleagues to deliver excellent client experiences and drive portfolio

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial insurance broking, underwriting or account management.
• Exposure to SME and commercial insurance clients.
• Knowledge of classes: Professional Indemnity, Liability, Property, Business Pack, Management Liability, Cyber or Motor.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing renewals and negotiating with insurers.
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Proactive, team-oriented approach with attention to detail.
• Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, including renewals, endorsements and policy servicing.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and quality advice.
• Negotiate with insurers to obtain favourable outcomes for clients.
• Identify opportunities to improve client coverage and strengthen account retention.
• Prepare renewal strategies and insurance recommendations.
• Provide guidance across a range of commercial insurance products.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver an outstanding client experience.
• Contribute to process improvements and servicing efficiencies where appropriate.
