Job summary

The Victorian Government’s Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking an Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to join our team in Melbourne. You will deliver meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, with a focus on behaviour change and correcting orders, while building culturally safe supports.

You will develop tailored cultural support plans, assess risk factors, and collaborate with Aboriginal organisations and community services to reduce reoffending.

Qualifications

• Delivery of meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients with focus on behaviour change and orders.
• Creation of tailored cultural support plans to meet Aboriginal client needs.
• Assessment of risk factors and development of individualised case plans to support rehabilitation.
• Providing expert advice to senior leaders and community teams on culturally safe approaches.
• Building partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to resources.
• Attending Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess risk factors and develop individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.

• Build partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
