Job summary

Corrections Victoria is seeking an Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager in Melbourne to manage a caseload of high-risk individuals and deliver evidence-based, culturally informed practice. You will assess suitability for corrections orders and advise the Koori Court where needed.

You will develop and implement culturally informed intervention plans to support engagement, reduce recidivism, and mitigate risk to the community, while collaborating with Aboriginal organisations and community services.

Qualifications

• Caseload management of predominantly high-risk individuals with culturally informed approaches.
• Ability to engage respectfully with the Victorian Aboriginal Community and organisations.
• Experience applying best-practice case management to complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of predominantly high-risk individuals and provide culturally informed case management intervention to address offending behaviours, support engagement with community services, and promote completion of Community Correction Orders.
• Develop and implement culturally informed case management intervention plans for Aboriginal persons to support engagement, reduce recidivism, promote meaningful outcomes, and mitigate risk to community.
• Identify and evaluate factors related to individual offending behaviour and provide risk assessment advice to senior management and community teams.
• Develop relationships with Aboriginal organisations and other organisations that support the case management of Aboriginal persons.
