You will support individuals with complex needs and serious offences, guiding rehabilitation and reducing reoffending within a strong community framework.

The role emphasizes developing cultural support plans, advising leadership, and collaborating with Aboriginal organisations.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering case management with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients.
• Ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal communities.
• Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
• Experience applying evidence-based case management for individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, focusing on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
• Create tailored cultural support plans to meet the needs of Aboriginal clients.
• Assess risk factors and develop individualised case plans to support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders on culturally safe approaches to working with Aboriginal clients.
• Build partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to resources.
• Attend Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.
