Department of Justice and Community Safety VIC in Melbourne is seeking an Aboriginal Advanced Case Manager to work with Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, supporting individuals with complex needs and those who have committed serious offences. You'll guide them through rehabilitation using strengths-based, culturally informed practices and work with Aboriginal organisations and the Koori Court.

Qualificações

• Communication with Aboriginal people and communities.
• Knowledge of issues affecting Aboriginal people in the justice system.
• Experience applying evidence-based case management frameworks with individuals with complex needs.
• Ability to apply theory to practice—risk identification, intervention planning and behaviour change.
• Continuous improvement mindset and openness to innovation.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver meaningful case management for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal clients, focused on behaviour change and completing correctional orders.
• Create tailored cultural support plans to meet the specific needs of Aboriginal clients.
• Assess risk factors and develop individualised case plans that support rehabilitation and reduce reoffending.
• Provide expert advice to senior leaders and community teams on culturally safe approaches with Aboriginal clients.
• Build partnerships with Aboriginal organisations and support services to improve access to culturally appropriate resources.
• Attend Koori Court to provide advice and support where needed.
