Certis Security Australia is seeking a Security Officer to join the team at Southern Cross University, Gold Coast. The role blends front-of-house concierge duties with core security responsibilities to ensure a safe and welcoming campus experience for visitors and staff.

Employment is full-time with shifts including weekdays and evenings. The successful candidate will bring a valid QLD Security Licence, First Aid, and a proactive, professional approach to security operations on site.

Qualificações

• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
• CCTV monitoring experience (highly regarded).

Responsabilidades

• Managing vehicle leasing, visitor passes, and access control.
• Conducting proactive internal and external patrols.
• Monitoring CCTV, WHS compliance, and alarm responses.
• Issuing and maintaining staff, contractor, and visitor access cards.
• Responding to perimeter breaches or unauthorized access attempts.
• Operating intercom systems and overseeing traffic and screening areas.
• Liaising with university stakeholders and reporting potential risks.
• Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and security documentation.

About the Role

As a Security Officer, you will combine front-of-house concierge services with security responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors while supporting the day-to-day safety and operation of the site.

Employment Type: Full-Time

WEEK B: Wed, Thurs, 2pm-10pm, Fri 6am-6pm

Key Responsibilities

Keeping campus operations smooth and secure through:

• Managing vehicle leasing, visitor passes, and access control
• Conducting proactive internal and external patrols
• Monitoring CCTV, WHS compliance, and alarm responses
• Issuing and maintaining staff, contractor, and visitor access cards
• Responding to perimeter breaches or unauthorized access attempts
• Operating intercom systems and overseeing traffic and screening areas
• Liaising with university stakeholders and reporting potential risks
• Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and security documentation

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid QLD Security Licence
• A current First Aid Certificate
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
