Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking a Security Officer in Lismore, NSW, to combine front-of-house concierge services with security responsibilities on a university campus. This full-time role includes patrols, access control, and incident response to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.

You will coordinate with university stakeholders, monitor CCTV, and maintain records while upholding a calm, professional demeanor in all situations.

Qualifications

• Valid NSW Security Licence.
• A current First Aid Certificate.
• Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
• CCTV monitoring experience (highly regarded).
• Strong communication and observation skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep campus operations secure and smooth, including vehicle leasing, visitor passes and access control.
• Conduct proactive internal and external patrols.
• Monitor CCTV, WHS compliance and alarm responses.
• Issue and maintain staff, contractor and visitor access cards.
• Respond to perimeter breaches or unauthorized access attempts.
• Operate intercom systems and monitor traffic/screening areas.
• Liaise with university stakeholders and report potential risks.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports and security documentation.

About the Role

As a Security Officer, you will combine front-of-house concierge services with security responsibilities, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors while supporting the day-to-day safety and operation of the site.

Location: Lismore, NSW

Employment Type: Full-Time

Roster: 76hrs per fortnight

Pay Rate: SSIA Level 3

Key Responsibilities

• Keeping campus operations smooth and secure through:
• Managing vehicle leasing, visitor passes, and access control

• Monitoring CCTV, WHS compliance, and alarm responses
• Issuing and maintaining staff, contractor, and visitor access cards
