Job summary

Certis Security Australia is seeking professional Security Officers to deliver high-quality security services across Sydney. You will conduct patrols, monitor CCTV and alarms, manage access control, and respond to incidents while maintaining a professional, customer-focused presence.

This permanent full-time role is based in Sydney CBD with day and night shifts, requires Security Licence 1A, First Aid and CPR, and the ability to liaise with emergency services.

Qualifications

• Must hold Security Licence, Classification 1A (Unarmed Guarding).
• Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR validity.
• Able to obtain Australian Police Check.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols and security checks
• Perform alarm response and incident management
• Maintain control room and site security operations
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel
• Complete accurate surveillance records
• Respond to security breaches and alarms
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination
• Liaise with emergency services when required
• Complete accurate reports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations

Pay Rate:SSIA Level3

Shift Pattern:Day and Night shift

Key responsibilities:

Primary dutiesinclude and not limitedto:

• Conduct routine patrols and security checks
• Perform alarm response and incident management
• Maintain control room and site security operations
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and security systems
• Identifyand respond to suspicious behaviour or incidents
• Maintainaccuratesurveillance records
• Escort visitors, contractors, and personnel
• Monitor movement of goods and deliveries
• Respond to security breaches and alarms
• Support emergency evacuation and incident coordination
• Liaise with emergency services whenrequired
• Completeaccuratereports and documentation
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regulations

About You

• Must haveSecurity Licence,Classification 1A(Unarmed Guarding)
• Valid First Aid Certificate(3yearsvalidity) withcurrent CPR Certificate(1 year validity)
• Ability to clear an Australian Police Check
• Strong communicationand customer service skills
• Excellent observation, problem-solving, and reporting abilities
• Confidence using security systems and MS Office
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Experience with CCTV, alarms, and access control systems
