Job summary

Team Global Express is seeking a Freight Coordinator / Same Day Consultant to join our Melbourne Airport team in a permanent full-time role. This fast-paced position coordinates urgent freight movements, working closely with customers, drivers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure on-time delivery and exceptional service.

Based at Melbourne Airport, the role operates Monday to Friday, 6:00pm to 2:00am.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or fast-paced operations.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Same Day and Premium Services freight movements from booking through to delivery.
• Allocate and coordinate jobs with drivers, subcontractors and service providers.
• Monitor freight movements and proactively manage delivery performance throughout the day.
• Track consignments and ensure service commitments are achieved.
• Communicate with customers, drivers and teams to provide timely updates and manage expectations.
• Manage disruptions, delays and issues with effective solutions.
