Job summary

PlayCo is seeking a technically minded early-career professional in NSW to join our team, combining estimating, project support, site exposure and customer interaction.

You’ll learn how projects are scoped, priced, sold and delivered, with potential to grow into Sales or Project Management roles over time. Travel to project sites across NSW is required.

Qualifications

• A degree, diploma or qualification in construction, engineering, design, architecture or a related field.
• Experience reading plans, drawings and specifications.
• CAD experience or other technical design skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites across NSW.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing plans, specifications and project requirements
• Completing take-offs, quantity calculations and project estimates
• Preparing scopes of work, methodologies, quotes and tender submissions
• Attending site inspections, measures and project meetings
• Supporting the development of customer solutions and project proposals
• Working with Sales, Project Management, Design, Procurement and Site Services teams
• Coordinating project requirements, lead times, manufacturing and installation needs
• Supporting clear handovers from sales into project delivery
• Helping identify and resolve issues before they impact customers or projects
• Maintaining accurate project information and orders in PlayCo systems

Build the technical skills to become a great salesperson or project manager.

PlayCo is looking for an ambitious early-career professional to join our NSW team in a role combining estimating, project support, site exposure and customer interaction.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction, design, engineering or a related discipline who wants to build on their technical skills and develop a broader commercial career. You’ll learn how projects are scoped, priced, sold and delivered — with the opportunity to grow into a Sales or Project Management role over time.

The role

You’ll work across the sales and project lifecycle, including:

• Reviewing plans, specifications and project requirements
• Completing take-offs, quantity calculations and project estimates
• Preparing scopes of work, methodologies, quotes and tender submissions
• Attending site inspections, measures and project meetings
• Supporting the development of customer solutions and project proposals
• Working with Sales, Project Management, Design, Procurement and Site Services teams
• Coordinating project requirements, lead times, manufacturing and installation needs
• Supporting clear handovers from sales into project delivery
• Helping identify and resolve issues before they impact customers or projects

You’ll get genuine exposure to customers, live projects and site delivery — not just estimating from a desk.

About you

We’re looking for someone early in their career who is technically capable, commercially curious and keen to build something beyond their initial qualification.

You might have:

• A degree, diploma or qualification in construction, engineering, design, architecture or a related field
• Experience reading plans, drawings and specifications
• CAD experience or other technical design skills0
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• An interest in how projects are priced, sold and delivered
• Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to getting things done
• Good communication skills and confidence working with different people
• The organisation to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
• A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites across NSW

Previous sales or estimating experience is not essential. We’re more interested in your technical foundation, attitude and ambition to develop.
