Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking a customer-focused Sales & Quoting Specialist for a growing manufacturing and building products business in Melbourne. The role blends internal sales, estimating, customer service and account management to support trade customers with quotations, order processing and product advice.

You will work closely with production, logistics and purchasing teams to ensure enquiries are converted into accurate quotes and successful orders, while maintaining quotes and customer

We are seeking a customer-focused Sales & Quoting Specialist to join a growing manufacturing and building products business. This role is a blend of internal sales, estimating, customer service and account management, supporting trade customers with quotations, order processing and product advice.

Working closely with production, logistics and purchasing teams, you will play a key role in ensuring customer enquiries are converted into accurate quotes and successful orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for trade customers.
• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and in person.
• Provide advice on products, specifications and available solutions.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into sales.
• Identify upselling and repeat business opportunities.
• Prepare accurate quotations and pricing.
• Review customer drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Price materials, labour and project scope.
• Revise and update quotations as required.
• Maintain high levels of quotation accuracy.

Order Processing & Coordination

• Process customer orders accurately through internal systems.
• Coordinate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Track customer orders and communicate progress updates.
• Resolve order discrepancies and customer issues.
• Conduct post-delivery customer follow-up.

Administration & Account Management

• Maintain accurate customer records and CRM information.
• Manage trade accounts from enquiry through to delivery.
• Coordinate internal and external communication.
• Support reporting and general administrative requirements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in Internal Sales, Estimating, Customer Service or Sales Support.
• Strong quoting and pricing experience.
• Experience interpreting drawings, specifications or project documentation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong attention to detail and administration skills.
• Experience working within a manufacturing, building products or construction environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong computer literacy and experience using CRM or ERP systems.
