Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking a Sales & Quoting Specialist in Bayswater, WA to be the primary contact for trade customers. You will handle enquiries, prepare quotations, process orders and nurture ongoing account relationships.

You will contribute to estimating, pricing bespoke work, and managing quotations through fulfilment, while collaborating with Sales, Production, Logistics and Purchasing teams to meet KPIs and drive customer satisfaction.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Sales & Quoting Specialist to act as the primary point of contact for trade customers, managing enquiries, quotations, order processing and ongoing account relationships.

This role combines:

• Trade sales
• Estimating and quoting
• Customer service
• Order management
• Account management

Key Responsibilities Trade Sales & Customer Service

• Act as the first point of contact for trade customers via phone, email and in person.
• Provide advice on timber doors, mouldings, profiles and finishes.
• Respond to enquiries and quotation requests.
• Convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
• Build and maintain strong trade account relationships.
• Identify upselling and repeat-order opportunities.
• Resolve customer issues professionally and effectively.

Quoting & Estimating

• Prepare and price quotations independently.
• Ensure accurate pricing of materials, labour and project scope.
• Generate quotations on the spot where possible.
• Follow up submitted quotations.
• Update and revise quotations as required.

Order Management

• Process sales orders accurately through internal systems.
• Track customer orders through production and delivery.
• Keep customers updated on lead times and progress.
• Resolve order discrepancies before they impact customers.
• Conduct post-delivery customer follow-up.

Account Management & Administration

• Manage trade accounts from enquiry through fulfilment.
• Maintain customer records and information.
• Complete data entry, filing and document management.
• Coordinate customer appointments and internal meetings.
• Process transactions accurately.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work alongside Sales, Production, Logistics and Purchasing teams.
• Confirm production lead times and delivery requirements.
• Resolve internal issues within agreed timeframes.
• Share customer feedback to improve service.
• Assist other departments during peak periods.

Systems & Process Improvement

• Use ERP and CRM systems daily.
• Maintain product, pricing and market knowledge.
• Contribute to process improvements.
• Support reporting and system enhancements.
• Participate in ongoing training and development.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• 95%+ customer satisfaction score.
• Respond to all enquiries within 1 business day.
• 98%+ quotation accuracy.
• 98%+ order accuracy.
• Complete follow-up on all quotations and post-delivery customer interactions.
• Maintain 99%+ CRM accuracy.
• No unresolved internal issues older than 48 hours.

Essential Experience

• Trade sales, customer service or sales support experience.
• Strong estimating and quoting experience.
• Ability to accurately price bespoke jobs independently.
• Experience managing quotations through to fulfilment.
• CRM and ERP experience.
• High-volume customer interaction experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
