Job summary

NSW Department of Communities and Justice is seeking a compliance-focused administrator to support governance of vocational education and training programs at the NSW Sheriff’s Office. You will oversee RTO compliance, maintain records and support audit readiness, enabling high-quality training outcomes.

The role requires tertiary qualifications in business/management or government, a current NSW driver’s licence, and willingness to travel across NSW for training activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance management within an RTO or similar environment.
• Experience using various RTO management systems.
• Knowledge of the VET sector and ASQA standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the NSW Sheriff Academy meets all RTO standards, VET Quality Framework and legislation.
• Regularly monitor, review and update compliance systems to align with RTO Standards 2025.
• Plan and conduct internal audits, prepare for external audits and report on compliance with improvements.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation, student records and licences per ASQA.
• Identify skills gaps and provide guidance to align RTO obligations with best practices.
