Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Systems Engineer to shape how AWS designs, builds, and operates cloud regions in Australia. You’ll work on sovereign cloud initiatives impacting national security customers, building scalable, automated health and monitoring tooling.

You’ll join Melbourne or Sydney teams, collaborating across disciplines to deliver resilient, high-availability infrastructure and services for diverse customers in both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of automation experience for systems or services.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong collaboration across teams and steady problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Refine system requirements and develop operability features.
• Develop and improve tools for system management to reduce manual efforts.
• Improve operations processes to handle growth in systems and traffic.
• Design and execute production acceptance tests and hardware evaluations.
• Monitor fleet health and automate maintenance tasks and reporting.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents.
