Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Systems Engineer to own Route 53 DNS infrastructure within a sovereign cloud programme spanning Melbourne or Sydney. You will design latency-based routing, Private DNS, Geo DNS, and robust failover, writing automation and monitoring to accelerate change and maintain zero-downtime operations.

You will collaborate across teams, mentor peers, and contribute to an architecture that supports Australia’s national security and global customers.

Formación

• Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP(S), DNS, TCP/IP).
• Experience with automation or scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.).
• Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting across app, network and host levels.
• CI/CD pipelines and deployment systems (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Responsabilidades

• Own the full engineering lifecycle of Route 53 DNS infra within the programme.
• Design and implement DNS solutions: latency-based routing, Private DNS, Geo DNS, failover.
• Write production-grade automation and monitoring tools to improve propagation and reliability.
• Collaborate across teams for interoperable services and architectural reviews.
• Lead incident response, runbooks, and post-incident analyses to raise reliability.
