Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Systems Engineer to own the full engineering lifecycle of the Route 53 DNS infrastructure within Australia’s sovereign cloud programme, enabling latency-based routing, Private DNS, Geo DNS, and failover at scale.

You will design, implement, test, and operate DNS solutions across 50+ locations, and mentor teammates while collaborating with cross-team partners to ensure high availability and security in a rapidly evolving national capability.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of streaming DNS concepts and routing policies.
• Experience with automation and scripting to deploy infrastructure.
• Familiarity with Linux OS and network troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end DNS infrastructure lifecycle for Route 53 within the programme.
• Design and implement latency-based routing, Private DNS, and Geo DNS solutions.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure reliability, security and scalability.
