Job summary

SCMB Disability Supports seeks a highly organized Rostering and Administration Support for its Caboolture office. Qualifications

  • Experience with rostering or scheduling in disability services.
  • Knowledge of NDIS Price Arrangements and SCHADS Award conditions is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with SCHADS Award and payroll processes.
  • Willingness to learn SCMB rostering and administration procedures.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to pick up new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain rostering requirements per the relevant award and SCMB policies.
  • Assess staff availability and suitability to match customer requirements.
  • Support payroll and participant invoicing with accurate roster data.
  • Review timesheets and rosters and escalate discrepancies.
  • Identify gaps or conflicts and escalate to appropriate person.
  • Roster shifts across client homes, community and supported living environments.
  • Track tasks with attention to detail and maintain roster accuracy.
  • Seek opportunities for rostering process improvements.
  • Prioritise a demanding workload with strong organisational skills.

We employ dedicated staff who assist customers predominantly in our residential homes located across Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast region.

The Opportunity

The Roster and Administration Support plays a vital role in planning, scheduling, and allocating shifts to ensure optimal service delivery for our Residential, Home Care and Community NDIS participants. This role provides administrative support across rostering and service delivery and plays an important part in ensuring roster, employee and participant information is accurate, current and correctly maintained within SCMB's systems.

The position would suit someone who is highly organised, confident using computer systems, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working in a busy environment where priorities can change throughout the day.

We are seeking a candidate to join our Caboolture office for a minimum of 25 hours per week (approximately 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday). This role offers the opportunity to progress to full-time employment for the successful applicant.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Experience in rostering or scheduling within Supported Independent Living (highly regarded).

  • NDIS Price Arrangements and Price Limits knowledge (highly regarded)

  • SCHADS Award knowledge (highly regarded)

  • Is willing to learn relevant NDIS requirements, SCHADS Award conditions and SCMB's rostering and administrative processes

  • High level of computer literacy with the ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology and systems.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent administration skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong time management skills.

  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one prior to commencing the role.

  • High levels of tact and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

  • Exceptional ability to work independently and self-sufficiently

  • Confident and professional telephone manner and interpersonal skills

  • Experience managing a high volume of shifts

  • Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience in coordinating services in an environment with competing priorities

  • Sense of humour and a warm customer focused personality

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and monitor rostering requirements in accordance with the relevant award and SCMB Disability Supports' policies and procedures.

  • Identify and assess support worker availability, capability, and suitability to effectively match customer requirements and maximise utilisation.

  • Supporting accurate roster information for payroll and participant invoicing

  • Reviewing timesheet and roster information and escalating discrepancies for correction

  • Identifying roster gaps, conflicts, errors or other concerns and escalating these to the appropriate person

  • Roster shifts within client homes, community, group support and supported independent living houses.

  • Keep track of various assigned tasks with an eye for detail.

  • Maintain accurate roster information.

  • Assess and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the rostering process.

  • Organisational and time management skills to prioritise a demanding workload.
