Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Roads Team Lead in Perth, WA. The role combines hands-on road design with people leadership to guide a team delivering major transport infrastructure across Western Australia.

You will drive concept to detailed design, support construction, and ensure compliance with MRWA standards and Austroads guidelines while developing the capabilities of a high-performing team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated 12+ years in roads engineering design.
• Experience delivering road and transport infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of Austroads Guides and Australian Standards.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of road engineers and designers.
• Delivering road design packages from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Providing technical oversight and guidance across transport infrastructure projects.
• Ensuring compliance with Main Roads WA standards, Austroads Guides, Australian Standards and project-specific requirements.
• Supporting design reviews and Safety in Design processes.
• Managing interfaces across drainage, pavements, structures, traffic, utilities, environmental and geotechnical disciplines.
• Building relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
• Supporting project planning, forecasting, budgeting and commercial delivery objectives.
• Contributing to bids, proposals and business development activities.
• Driving continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.
