Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead Maritime / Principal Maritime Engineer in Perth to establish and grow our WA maritime presence. You will oversee technical leadership, contribute to major ports, harbours and defence projects, and mentor engineers while engaging with clients and industry stakeholders across Australia.

The role offers flexibility to shape responsibilities and develop your career within a national maritime capability, collaborating with specialists and leaders across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Significant experience in maritime and coastal engineering.
• Experience in design, assessment and delivery of ports, harbours and marine infrastructure.
• Strong consulting, engineering or project delivery experience.
• Ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers or providing technical leadership.
• Collaborative mindset with passion for developing capability and sharing knowledge.
• Eligibility to work on Australian Defence-related projects.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearances.
• CPEng status or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across maritime and coastal engineering projects.
• Support delivery of major projects across the national maritime portfolio.
• Lead or support project management and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development activities, bids and strategic pursuits.
• Mentor and develop engineers across the maritime community.
• Collaborate with National Maritime leadership to support growth.
• Deliver studies, designs, technical reports, specifications and documentation.
• Promote quality, safety and engineering excellence across delivery.
