Job summary

KBR, Inc in Perth, WA is seeking a Roads Team Lead to combine technical leadership with people management and deliver road design packages from concept to construction across Western Australia.

In this hands-on role, you’ll guide a team of roads engineers and designers on Main Roads WA projects, ensuring design excellence and on-time delivery. Reporting to the Civil Discipline Manager, you’ll mentor staff and manage interfaces across drainage, pavements, structures, traffic and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 12+ years' experience in roads engineering design.
• Experience delivering road and transport infrastructure projects.
• Chartered Engineer status (or progress towards chartership) is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Leading and mentoring a team of road engineers and designers.
• Delivering road design packages from concept through to detailed design and construction support.
• Providing technical oversight and guidance across transport infrastructure projects.
• Ensuring compliance with MRWA standards, Austroads Guides, Australian Standards and project requirements.
• Supporting design reviews, technical assurance activities and Safety in Design processes.
• Managing interfaces across drainage, pavements, structures, traffic, utilities, environmental and geotechnical disciplines.
• Building relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
