Job summary

CBUS Super is seeking a Manager, Risk & Compliance Initiatives to lead the ongoing uplift of risk management maturity and support the Risk Transformation Program. You will partner with stakeholders across the business to strengthen governance and enable better decision-making for members.

The role focuses on delivering practical risk practices, enhancing frameworks and ensuring a robust control environment in a leading Australian superannuation fund.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk management, compliance, governance or operational risk within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk management, controls, incidents, issues, obligations and regulatory compliance frameworks.
• Demonstrated experience delivering risk, compliance, transformation or process improvement initiatives.
• Well-developed analytical and reporting skills with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience working across multiple business areas and GRC systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of risk and compliance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures.
• Facilitate risk and control assessments, including identifying risks, assessing controls and tracking improvement actions.
• Enhance key risk management processes including obligations, incidents, issues and breach governance activities.
• Analyse risk and control information to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop meaningful risk reporting and partner with stakeholders to support risk transformation initiatives and governance outcomes.
