Job summary

Zip Co Limited is seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Manager in Sydney. You’ll partner with Line 2 risk governance across enterprise risk, third party risk and regulatory obligations to help the business grow with resilience and strong oversight.

Reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance, you’ll mature risk frameworks, deliver practical guidance, and translate complex regulatory needs into actionable programs for the business.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across enterprise risk, operational risk or compliance in financial services or fintech.
• Strong knowledge of risk governance, risk committees and regulatory interactions.
• Experience designing or operating risk management frameworks.
• Practical knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis mgmt.
• Strong understanding of risk concepts and regulatory expectations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and incident reporting.
• Analytical and critical thinking with data insights.
• Clear written and verbal communication for senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support governance across risk and compliance forums with timely reporting and insights.
• Analyze incidents and trends to identify weaknesses and risks, with actionable recommendations.
• Evolve enterprise risk policies and provide Line 2 oversight of implementation.
• Strengthen governance of risk artefacts, keeping frameworks current and effective.
• Build and monitor Third Party Risk Management programs for Zip Australia.
• Oversee third party risk assessments and remediation guidance.
• Develop meaningful risk and compliance metrics and reporting.
• Interpret evolving regulatory expectations and translate into practical actions.
• Support continuity and crisis management frameworks and testing.
• Provide trusted risk guidance to first line teams and leaders.
