Job summary

Zip Co is seeking a Senior Risk and Compliance Manager in Sydney to partner with the business on enterprise risk, governance and third party risk management. You’ll translate complex regulatory requirements into practical guidance and strengthen oversight across risk frameworks.

You’ll be an influential Line 2 risk partner reporting to the Director, Risk and Compliance, maturing risk frameworks and delivering meaningful risk insights to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Significant experience across enterprise risk, operational risk or compliance within financial services, fintech or another highly regulated environment.
• Strong practical knowledge of risk governance, including risk committees, senior stakeholder engagement and regulatory interactions.
• Experience designing, implementing or operating enterprise risk or third party risk management frameworks.
• Practical knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity and crisis management.
• Strong understanding of risk and control concepts, regulatory expectations and contemporary risk management practices.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and control reviews, alongside incident, issue and risk reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support effective governance across key risk and compliance forums, providing clear, timely reporting and insights.
• Analyse incidents, issues and complaints to identify trends and emerging risks.
• Help evolve Zip’s risk and compliance policies, frameworks and procedures.
• Strengthen governance of risk artefacts, ensuring frameworks and standards remain current.
• Build and monitor the Third Party Risk Management program across Zip Australia.
• Oversee third party risk assessments and performance and advise on remediation.
• Develop measures and reporting on third party risk performance and compliance.
• Monitor evolving regulatory expectations relating to third party risk.
