Qualifications

• Qualification in Retail Management, Business Management, Sales, or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in hardware, timber, building supplies, or related industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience managing inventory, purchasing, stock control, and supplier relationships.
• Strong sales, budgeting, and financial management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the retail store to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Lead, supervise, and support store staff, including recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management.
• Develop and implement store procedures and operational strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor sales performance and implement initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
• Provide high-quality customer service and assist with customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Manage inventory levels, stock ordering, stock control, and product displays to ensure availability and presentation standards.
• Coordinate deliveries, supplier relationships, and purchasing activities to support store operations.
• Monitor budgets, operating expenses, and store financial performance.
• Ensure accurate processing of sales transactions, quotations, and customer orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised retail environment for customers and employees.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant retail standards.
