Qualifications

As part of our growing Johnson Bros Group family of successful brands our longstanding local Avalon Mitre 10 store has been a reliable "go to" for local tradies and Avalon residents in need of our great range of hardware or building products and who can rely on our experienced and knowledgeable team for sound advice.

We are in search of an experienced Retail leader to oversee store operations, lead our team and maximise store performance through effective retail leadership and commercially driven inventory management.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• To oversee the stores performance and ensure store goals as set with Senior Management are met.
• To control expenses through commercial management of rosters, wages and inventory.
• To maximise productivity through effective leadership and management of ALL store team members
• To ensure all customers are provided with our G.R.E.A.T customer service standards
• Keep track of stores sales performance and review Sympac metrics to identify opportunities
• Uphold all in store policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of excellence.
• Maintain and manage in- store workplace safety and security guidelines and standards with ALL staff
• Lead by example and maintain JBG core values, codes of conduct, workplace behaviours and attitudes
• Maintain overall store organization, cleanliness in accordance to company standards
• Ensure deliveries are correctly receipted, unpacked and product is merchandised in their correct place in a safe manner.
• Inventory Management i.e. monitor stock performance regularly, maintain stock levels, review stock turns, conduct stock takes and ensure any stock ordering is approved by the GM.
• Set and manage weekly rosters on TANDA to ensure your store is adequately staffed within wage budgets
• Follow Senior Management’s instructions and directions

Maintain data integrity with POS and sympac systems.

MUST HAVES

• Strong background in retail store management or leadership roles
• Proven experience in retail inventory management
• Sound leadership capabilities - maximising team member performance and productivity
• Knowledge of Hardware and Timber products (preferred)
• Reliable and Committed - leads by example
• Ability to interpret reports and make sound business decisions
• Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local area and community - preferably a Northern Beaches local
• Proactive and positive approach to work
• Highly organised with ability to meet deadlines.
