Job summary

Cairns City Pharmacy is seeking a motivated Retail Manager to lead the retail team, oversee daily operations and contribute to the store's growth and success.

You will recruit and train staff, drive KPIs and sales, manage stock and displays, deliver exceptional customer service, and take ownership of the retail department in a community-focused pharmacy in Cairns.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or management experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work towards and achieve KPIs.
• Customer-focused with a positive and proactive attitude.
• Ability to motivate, train and manage a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, supervise, and train retail staff to maintain high performance standards.
• Conduct job interviews, select and hire new employees, and manage staff onboarding.
• Work towards and achieve set KPIs, including sales targets, customer service standards, and operational performance.
• Oversee the smooth running of the pharmacy's front-of-shop operations.
• Manage inventory, stock ordering, replenishment, and stock control.
• Maintain attractive product displays, promotional campaigns, and store presentation.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and professionally resolve customer concerns.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve efficiency, and contribute to the pharmacy's success.
• Organise staff schedules and ensure appropriate coverage.
