Job summary

Fencing & Gate Centre Canberra is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Canberra branch during a 12-month maternity leave cover.

You’ll supervise a small team, drive daily sales and stock management, and maintain high standards of customer service while keeping the branch running smoothly.

There is potential for ongoing full-time employment after the contract, subject to business needs and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in branch management, sales management or supervisory role.
• Strong customer service, communication and sales skills.

• Experience with stock control, purchasing and order management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch sales and operations.

Fencing & Gate Centre is looking for a hands-on Branch Manager to lead our Canberra branch during a 12-month maternity leave period.

This role suits someone who enjoys working with customers, building sales and keeping a busy branch running smoothly. You’ll lead a small team and be actively involved in daily sales, stock management and customer service.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing daily branch sales and operations.
• Building relationships with new and existing customers to grow the business.
• Preparing quotes, following up enquiries and converting opportunities into sales.
• Helping customers select suitable fencing materials and gate products.
• Ordering stock and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Coordinating customer orders, deliveries and collections.
• Training and supporting staff to develop their product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Resolving customer enquiries and keeping orders on track.
• Maintaining a safe, organised and well-presented branch.
