The Cottage Balmain is seeking a full-time Restaurant Supervisor to lead the floor during service and help run the venue day to day. You'll be the person in charge when on shift, coordinating a front-of-house team of 10+ across dining room and bar.

You'll train staff on cocktails, guest service, and our steps of service, manage group bookings in The Loft and The Atrium, work with the kitchen on daily specials, and ensure smooth service flow from lunch to close.

About us

The Cottage Balmain is an independent, owner-run cocktail bar and restaurant in a heritage cottage on Darling Street. We've been open since 2012 and trade lunch and dinner seven days a week. The venue has fireplace dining rooms, a garden courtyard, street-side tables and two private event spaces, The Loft and The Atrium.

The role

We're looking for a full-time Restaurant Supervisor to lead the floor during service and help run the venue day to day. It's 40 hours a week over five days, including evenings and weekends. You'll work closely with the owners and be the person in charge when you're on.

What you’ll do

Lead service and make sure every guest gets warm, polished hospitality

Manage and support a front-of-house team of 10+ across the floor and bar

Train staff on the job: product knowledge, cocktails and our steps of service

Run group bookings and events in The Loft and The Atrium on the day
