Royal Sydney is seeking a skilled Supervisor to support the Restaurant & Bar Manager in delivering exceptional dining service at our Rose Bay club. You will oversee daily operations, lead a team, and ensure standards across the dining and bar outlets.

This full-time role requires flexible availability, including weekends, with shifts from 2pm to 11pm. You will contribute to training, rosters, guest service, and maintaining the club's high-end hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Supervisor in a 5 Star Hotel or Fine Dining Restaurant.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing up to 10 staff.
• A valid NSW RSA certificate is essential.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing policies, standards and procedures for all Dining and Bar outlets.
• Ensure service to members and guests is of the highest standard.
• Collaborate on staff rostering and timecard approvals.
• Ensure staff are attired and groomed to Club standards.
• Be active on the floor, leading by example at all times.
• Assist members and guests during service including menu recommendations.
• Address and resolve member complaints where possible.
• Oversee and implement training programs to improve product knowledge and service skills.

Royal Sydney is located in the stunning Rose Bay and is fortunate to be considered one of Australia’s most prominent social and sporting institutions. Overlooking the picturesque Championship Golf Course our facilities include casual dining, club bar, multiple function rooms and a 150 seat Restaurant offering a unique modern dining experience for members and guests.

The Role

Reporting into the Restaurant & Bar Manager you will assist in maintaining exceptional service standards, managing the daily operations, overseeing operational logistics, supporting management with ongoing training for staff and leading a dynamic team.

This is a full-time position requiring flexible availability to work during the week and on weekends. You will need to be available to work between 2pm till 11pm.

The key tasks include but are not limited to:

• Assist in the development of policies, standards and procedures for all aspects of the Dining and Bar outlets.
• Ensure that the service provided to members and their guests is of the highest standard.
• Collaborate with the Restaurant & Bar Manager with the rostering of staff and assisting with processing timecard approvals.
• Ensure that all staff are correctly attired and well groomed at all times in line with Club standards.
• Be active on floor, leading by example at all times.
• Assist members and guests during service including providing menu recommendations.
• Ensure that any member complaints are actioned and where possible resolved.
• Oversee, support and implement training programs to improve the team's food & beverage product knowledge and service skills.

• Proven experience as a Supervisor working in a 5 Star Hotel or Fine Dining Restaurant.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing up to 10 staff.
• Ability to lead a team to deliver service to the highest standards.
• Well presented at all times representing the Club.
• Up to date with food & beverages trends and best practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated passion for excellence in customer service.
• Ability to prioritise workload, manage time and scheduled tasks whilst remaining adaptable to changing priorities.
• A valid NSW RSA is essential.
