Assistant Manager | French-Inspired Restaurant | $80-85K + Super

We're working with an intimate, French-inspired Sydney restaurant looking for an Assistant Manager who loves being on the floor, connecting with guests and making a dining room feel special.

With a strong team already in place, this is an opportunity to bring your energy, ideas and eye for service to a venue that values warm hospitality, good food and great wine.

You don't need to be a wine expert. Some knowledge, a genuine interest and a willingness to learn are what count. Above all, we're looking for someone who cares about the guest experience and has the drive to lead a memorable service.

The Role

Working closely with venue leadership and the Head Sommelier, you'll take a hands-on role in guiding service, supporting the team and keeping the restaurant running smoothly.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, find more efficient ways of working and take real ownership of what happens on the floor.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading warm, attentive service and keeping a clear view of the dining room.
• Building relationships with regulars and making new guests feel just as welcome.
• Supporting and coaching the team through service, setting the standard through your own approach.
• Managing service flow, anticipating pressure points and keeping communication clear.
• Working alongside the Head Sommelier to develop your wine knowledge and share it with guests.
• Handling guest feedback confidently and thoughtfully.
• Identifying practical improvements to daily operations and service.

Who We're Looking For

This could be a brilliant step up for a strong Supervisor or Head Waiter from a quality, hatted restaurant who's ready to take on more responsibility.
