Job summary

Gallagher Bassett invites a Technical Manager to lead in-team claims technical knowledge, coaching staff, and applying Workers Compensation legislation to complex cases in Australia. You will review decisions, liaise with legal parties, and support claims strategies while mentoring the team and driving high service standards.

You should have a Law degree or related qualifications, strong customer service and communication skills, and leadership experience to guide Case Managers and Senior Case

Qualifications

Bachelor of Law and/or related qualifications preferred.
Experience in the Workers Compensation industry and applying legislation.
Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
Coaching, mentoring and leadership experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

Provide coaching and mentoring to claims staff on complex claims matters.
Review and endorse claims decisions using Workers Compensation legislation.
Liaise with legal parties on pre-litigation and litigated matters within required timeframes.
Communicate updates to employers, employer consultants and other stakeholders.
Mentor and develop team members and contribute to claims management strategies.
