Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly competent Remote IT Support Specialist to join our distributed technical support team. You will be the primary point of contact for troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely solutions via phone, email, and remote desktop tools from your home office.

The role requires excellent communication, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently across time zones.

Qualifications

Proven experience in an IT Support role, preferably remote.
Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to end-users via remote access tools, phone, and email.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, and standard business applications.
Install, configure, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
Assist with user account management, including creation, modification, and deletion.
Document support requests, solutions, and technical procedures in the ticketing system.
Escalate complex issues to senior IT personnel or specialized teams when necessary.
