Effective HR is a growing HR and Industrial Relations consultancy delivering practical, compliant, and commercially sound advice to businesses across Australia. We are looking for an experienced HR & IR Consultant to join our team, offering flexible, fully remote work and a diverse client base across multiple industries.

You’ll provide expert HR and IR guidance on matters such as Award coverage, classification, and interpretation with strong SCHADS experience, while role flexibility allows for

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years’ HR experience, ideally in consultancy or across industries.
• Strong IR expertise, with award interpretation and compliance knowledge.
• Solid SCHADS Award experience is essential.
• Good understanding of the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, confident HR and IR advice across a broad range of matters.
• Advise on Award coverage, classification, and interpretation across multiple industries.
• Draft and tailor employment contracts to industry and compliance requirements.
• Act as embedded HR Manager for key clients, managing day-to-day HR queries and processes.
• Review and develop HR policies and procedures aligned with legislation and best practice.
• Conduct end‑to‑end recruitment where required (not a core focus of the role).
