ISS Facility Services is seeking an experienced Chef to lead cooking operations in Central Queensland mining villages. The role operates on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster, with occasional Townsville fly‑ins in a fast-paced, remote kitchen.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will deliver nutritious meals and support a positive on-site dining experience for residents. Applicants should have 2–3 years as a qualified chef, Australia-recognised Cert III, and food safety credentials.

Formación

• Proven professional work experience as a qualified chef (2–3 years).
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery recognised in Australia (or higher).
• Food Safety Certificate, or willingness to obtain.
• FIFO experience in a high-volume kitchen environment (desirable).
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and WHS requirements.
• Must pass a full Pre-Employment Medical Assessment and Drug & Alcohol Screen.
• Valid National Police Clearance within the last 12 months.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals consistently and efficiently.
• Support the kitchen team to maintain food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards.
• Assist with stock management, ordering, and kitchen operations.
• Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and service improvements.
• Mentor junior kitchen staff and contribute to a positive team environment.
