• Match each request to the correct customer record using approved steps.
• Update permitted communication fields and preserve the source.
• Ensure opt-out or consent status is not overwritten casually.
• Ask for clarification or refer when wording does not map clearly to a field.
• Flag duplicate or conflicting records for a reviewer.
• Note completed changes for teams relying on the information.
