Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join our not-for-profit team on a full-time basis. The role is remote and may involve travel across Australia, supporting the Senior Communications Advisor to plan, draft and deliver clear communications about our projects and impact.

You will manage internal and external channels, including our website, newsletters, events and social media, and liaise with contractors such as designers and videographers.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a Communications team, not-for-profit or government sector preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Experience with CMS, social media and Monday.com.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and create content for social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex policy content into plain English for target audiences.
• Draft clear, accurate and consistent communication materials.
• Ensure content is accessible for diverse audiences, including stakeholders.
• Collaborate with teams to align communications across sectors.
• Develop multimedia content, including videos and graphics.
• Observe health, safety and wellbeing policies.
