Job summary

HumanAbility is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to support the creation and delivery of clear, concise communications about our work. The role involves planning, drafting and producing content for our website, newsletters, events and social media.

You'll collaborate with the Senior Communications Advisor and the wider team, liaise with contractors such as designers and videographers, and help ensure accessibility and consistency across channels while travelling for meetings as

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in communications, journalism or similar.
• Experience in a Communications team, preferably in not-for-profit or government sectors.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in content management systems, social media platforms and Monday.com (or similar).
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility’s communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex policy and workforce content into plain English for diverse audiences.
• Draft clear, accurate and consistent communication materials.
• Ensure all content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences and stakeholders.
• Work with other teams to align communications across sectors.
• Develop or commission multimedia content (videos/graphics) as required.
• Follow work health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.
