HumanAbility is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to support the planning, drafting and delivery of clear, concise communications about our work. You will work with the Senior Communications Advisor and the Communications team to plan, draft and create content for internal and external channels.

The role covers the website, newsletters, events and social media, with opportunities to liaise with contractors and travel for organisation meetings and industry events.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in communications, journalism or similar or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in a communications team, ideally in not-for-profit/government sectors.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate complex content into plain English.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Identify, plan and create content for HumanAbility’s communications channels, including social, digital and newsletters.
• Translate complex technical, policy and workforce content into plain English that suits the target audience.
• Draft communication materials with clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Ensure all content is accessible and appropriate for diverse audiences, including industry stakeholders and the public.
• Work closely with other teams to align communications across our sectors.
• Assist in the development or commissioning of multimedia content, including videos and graphics, as required.
• Observe and follow work health, safety and wellbeing policies and guidelines.
