Job summary

Mint People is hiring a Relationship Manager in Melbourne to combine account management with business development. You’ll nurture warm inbound inquiries, visit customers 1–2 days weekly, and coordinate quotes with internal teams to drive projects forward.

The role offers a mix of office-based and on-the-road work, with a supportive team environment and clear opportunities to grow existing and new business.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Spend 1–2 days on the road visiting customers to understand operations and opportunities.
• Office-based days for quotes/estimates, responding to enquiries and keeping projects moving.
• Own existing accounts, build trust, and be a reliable contact.
• Coordinate handover to the project team with internal stakeholders.
• Keep customers informed through quoting and project progress, maintain CRM records.

About the role

Based in Carrum Downs, this full time role offers a mix of client interaction, account management and practical project coordination. You'll have warm inbound enquiries to work with, established relationships to nurture and the opportunity to develop new business through a consultative approach.

• Spending one to two days on the road visiting customers, understanding their operations and identifying opportunities to support their business.
• Working from the office for the remainder of the week, preparing quotes and estimates, responding to enquiries and keeping customer projects moving.
• Taking ownership of existing accounts, building trust and becoming a reliable point of contact.
• Working closely with internal teams to clarify customer requirements and coordinate a smooth handover to the project team.
• Keeping customers informed throughout the quoting and project process.
• Maintaining accurate CRM records and tracking enquiries, quotes and opportunities through to follow up.

About you

• At least four years' experience in account management, relationship focused sales or business development.
• Confidence meeting customers face to face, understanding their needs and recognising opportunities to grow both new and existing business.
• Experience preparing quotes and estimates, with strong attention to detail.
• A practical, hands on approach to managing enquiries, following up opportunities and keeping customers informed.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several customer requirements at once.
• An interest in a predominantly office based role, spending three to four days in Carrum Downs and one to two days visiting customers predominantly located in the Western Suburbs.
• Experience in logistics, warehousing or a related industry would be highly regarded, particularly if your role has combined quoting, account management and customer visits.
